Description: SCA transforms an undeveloped 66-acre site into a conservation area providing water quality treatment, stormwater detention, and recreational opportunities.
The design of the site required close coordination of the three disciplines of Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Wetland Ecology.
The construction scope of work included preparing final cost estimate for competitive bid, solicitation of subcontractors, coordination of Owner provided contractors and materials, dewatering, mass grading, concrete intake structures and gates, paving, wetland landscaping and project information signs.
The Shiloh Conservation Area project received a Montana American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Honor Award in the Waste and Storm Water Category as well as the 2015 Project of the Year Award for the American Public Works Association (APWA) Rocky Mountain Chapter and the Billings Engineers Club.
